Modern life is loud...

Notifications first thing in the morning.

A calendar with no white space.

News that never stops needing you.

You’ve tried powering through. You’ve tried vacations that traded work noise for tourist noise. What you haven’t had is quiet. Not the app version. The real thing.

The place

Everything you need and nothing you don't!

Water & Woods is 80 acres of private woods, meadow, and spring-fed water near Kaleva, Michigan. Simple cabins. No paved roads past the gate. No Wi-Fi, and cell service thins out about the time the trees close in.

We didn’t design a getaway. We just left out the things you need to get away from.

Two ways to be here:

Water-Wood-1

Join a retreat.

A scheduled weekend with a loose frame. Light facilitation is offered, never required. Sit in on a morning session, or skip it and take the trail instead.

liv room

Book a cabin.

No group, no frame. A simple cabin, the lake, and as much of the 80 acres as you feel like walking. Come alone, or bring one person who also needs the quiet.

03

Rest on your own terms.

Walk the loop, swim, read, nap, or do nothing at all. Nothing here is required.

The water

A private, spring-fed lake. Cold into June, swimmable by July, quiet all year.

The woods.

Eighty acres of pine, hardwood, and meadow, with mowed trails and a loop that takes about two hours if you don’t hurry.

The time.

Days here are measured by light on the water. There’s nothing on the schedule unless you put it there.
